Position Overview:

The Marketing Specialist delivers marketing programs to support the growth and expansion of the company’s products and services.  This role creates and conveys brand messages and improves brand awareness.  The Marketing Specialist position develops and independently manages KULR’s tradeshows and events project plan which includes but is not limited to: conducting all setup tasks, promotional items, literature and bookings.

Functions: 

  • Independently plan, manage and execute trade shows, special events, and conferences to showcase products and amplify messaging.   
  • Manage logistics of tradeshow and events including but not limited to: conference registrations, housing, marketing and tradeshow properties, ordering show services, shipping preparation, processing invoices for payment, maintenance of tradeshow show calendar, assist with coordination of product videos/photography, and other responsibilities as they pertain to tradeshows and events. 
  • Partner with Marketing and Sales Managers to organize projects flowing from the strategic business plan which includes managing project timelines, long-term organizational plans, marketing calendars, producing and updating presentation materials, and leading internal and external projects and programs as necessary.
  • Using independent judgment and discretion, develop and design new marketing materials, sales and product collaterals utilizing various communication formats, including content for website, digital media, direct mail, brochures, videos and other internal and external communication tactics.
  • Maintain ongoing website updates, working with the Marketing Manager to evaluate and improve the content and materials online.
  • Track projects and prepares status reports, liaises with 3rd party vendors, media/advertising vendors and internal sales, marketing, and engineering teams.  
  • Build and maintain relationships with external vendors and partners to support marketing initiatives. Stay current and well-informed of industry trends, conduct market research and implement best practices to improve marketing communications strategies. 
  • Travel to and from trade show to various locations to support business needs. 

Requirements:

  • Education & Experience: 
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administrations, communications, journalism related field or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in marketing, sales or project management.
  • Experience with various social media platforms, web design, art design software (i.e., Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop) a plus.

Office Work Environment

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Sufficient manual dexterity with or without reasonable accommodation, which permits the employee to frequently operate a personal computer (estimated 80%-100% of the typical workday) and other office equipment. Job Type: Full-time, Exempt

Schedule: Monday- Friday

Pay: $64,480 to $70,000

Location: On-Site, San Diego 

KULR Technology Location: San Diego  

Travel: Travel required as necessary, may include meetings, tradeshows & conferences.

  • Must be able to provide own transportation between work locations. 
  • Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
