Phase Change Material (PCM) heat sinks have a highly effective heat capacity over a small temperature range, which is required for applications such as batteries used in space, high power lasers and RF components. We have developed a proprietary high thermal conductivity fiber core material to achieve fast and uniform melting of PCM in any orientation and in low gravity. KULR's PCM heat sink technology is compact, reliable and lightweight and was utilized by NASA for missions to Mars and Mercury.

PCM heat sinks can also be used for IoT and portable devices to reduce temperature fluctuations. This can be particularly useful for compact and high performance devices that require bursts of computational power in short time intervals.
